Big Ten Conference Announces 2024 Fall Schedule

DUBLIN, OH. – The Big Ten Universities Rugby Conference today announced the 2024 Fall Schedule.


After great success in 2023 which saw Indiana University capturing their second consecutive Conference Championship, the 2024 Big Ten season will see the return of divisional play with teams splitting into East and West. Michigan State University, Ohio State University, University of Michigan, and University of Notre Dame will compete in the East Division, while Indiana University, Purdue University, University of Illinois, and University of Wisconsin will comprise the West.


Conference play will begin on September 21 with Michigan at Notre Dame, Ohio State at Michigan State, Indiana at Illinois and Purdue at Wisconsin.


The 2024 season will culminate with the annual Big Ten Universities Rugby Championships Series, which will feature Cup and Bowl Championships. Beginning November 2, the top two teams from each division will compete in the Major Championship; with the East #1 seed hosting the West #2 and the West #1 hosting the East #2. The remaining teams will compete for the Bowl Championship, which sees the East #3 seed hosting the West #4 and the West #3 will host the East #4. The winners from each semifinal will meet for the Big Ten Championships during the weekend of November 9, 2024.


As they prepare for conference play and the Conference Championships, those Big Ten Clubs will compete against some of the best programs in the country from Division 1 and Division 1 AA.
